ABOUT US
We are a growing film and media production company specialising in feature films, short films, music videos, and web series. With multiple projects in development including a full web series and a new feature film, we are expanding our core creative team. We are seeking a highly skilled, visually innovative Cinematographer who can bring cinematic quality and strong narrative vision to our productions.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Cinematographer will lead the visual language of our upcoming film and web series, working closely with the director, production designer, and key creative departments. This role requires strong storytelling instincts, technical expertise, and the ability to execute cinematic visuals across a variety of genres—from drama to thriller to stylised commercial content.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the director to define the visual style, mood, colour palette, and shot language
• Develop shot lists, lighting plans, and camera strategies for the web series and feature film
• Lead camera and lighting teams throughout production
• Select lenses, camera bodies, rigs, and lighting equipment suitable for each project
• Ensure visual continuity, framing, exposure, and composition across scenes
• Work closely with the gaffer and camera crew to execute complex shots and lighting setups
• Contribute to pre-production planning, tech recces, and storyboarding discussions
• Operate cameras when required for performance-sensitive or specialty shots
• Maintain high production standards under tight schedules and varied locations
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Proven experience as a Cinematographer/DP on feature films, high-end shorts, or episodic web series
• Strong visual portfolio/showreel demonstrating mastery of cinematography
• Deep understanding of camera systems (RED, ARRI, Sony, Blackmagic, etc.)
• Expertise in lighting design, composition, colour, and visual storytelling
• Ability to adapt visual style to genre—drama, thriller, horror, or stylised content
• Strong leadership and communication skills on set
• Ability to manage camera crews, gaffer, grip, and lighting teams
• Knowledge of post-production workflows (colour grading, LUT creation, codecs)
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver consistently high-quality visuals
BONUS SKILLS (ADVANTAGEOUS BUT NOT REQUIRED)
- • Experience with motion control, Steadicam, drone operating, or gimbal systems
• Experience shooting VFX plates or FX-heavy environments
• Knowledge of HDR, high-speed cinematography, or advanced lighting rigs
• Previous experience in both indie and larger-scale productions
