Assistant Director

ABOUT US

We are a film and media production company specialising in feature films, short films, and web series. With a complete web series and a feature film in development, we are expanding our production team and seeking an organised, disciplined, and bilingual Assistant Director to support our upcoming projects.

ROLE OVERVIEW 

This is a project-based role. The Assistant Director will work closely with the Director and Producers to manage the production schedule, coordinate the cast and crew, and ensure the smooth execution of daily shooting operations. The ideal candidate must be fluent in both English and Urdu, and comfortable working in fast-paced narrative environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with the Director to break down scripts and prepare shooting schedules
• Manage daily call sheets, scene breakdowns, and production logistics
• Coordinate cast, crew, and departments throughout production
• Maintain order, timing, and continuity on set
• Lead communication between departments to ensure all instructions are clear
• Handle time management and keep production on schedule
• Ensure safety protocols and set discipline are maintained
• Assist with blocking, rehearsals, and scene organisation
• Support the Director creatively and operationally as required
• Translate or interpret (Urdu–English) when needed during filming

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Experience as an Assistant Director (1st AD, 2nd AD, or AD trainee) on films or web series
• Strong understanding of production workflows, scheduling, and on-set protocol
• Fluent in English and Urdu (spoken and written)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage cast, extras, and multiple departments
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage tight shooting days
• Knowledge of call sheets, breakdowns, and AD documents
